Spill the Beans泄密
Spill指“洒”，bean指“豆子”。Spill the bean字面的意思为“洒豆子”。据说，古希腊时，若要进入某些秘密会社，必须先经由社员投票通过，黑白豆子分别代表反对及同意票。但要是在计票前打翻了装豆子的瓶子，而把豆子洒了一地，就等于泄露了秘密，所以spill the beans就被引申为“泄密”。
例：He spilled the beans to her.（他向她告密。）

类似我们所说的“相亲”，通常是由亲友安排，男女双方事前并不认识。而a double date则是指两对情侣一起出去，也就是“四人约会”。
